Peridot was selected from premium turf quality germplasm by Novel Ag, Inc. and Rutgers University. Peridot is a unique dwarf perennial ryegrass that exhibits rapid spring green-up and persistence against winter kill. Peridot has shown superior wear tolerance and excellent mowing quality in recent NTEP trials. Peridot has shown exceptional resistance to Gray Leaf Spot and Crown Rust (2016 NTEP, PRG Permanent Trial).
