Annual Forage
Forage Soybeans
Forage Soybeans are typically harvested for hay or silage. However, they can be used for late summer temporary grazing. Since they do not re-grow once defoliated, strip-grazing is the grazing system that is most likely to result in the most efficient use of the forage. Soybean forage is fairly digestible and moderately-high in protein. Forage Soybeans continue to produce new growth very late in the season. As with other nitrogen fixing legumes it is important to inoculate with the appropriate bacteria.
