Pearl Millet

Pearl millet is the most widely grown type of millet. It is well adapted to drought and poor soil conditions.  Pearl millet performs well in soils with low pH. Much of the grain is currently used to feed birds, particularly poultry and game birds for recreational hunting, such as bobwhite quail, turkey, pheasant, and dove. This millet is a high protein forage crop that is easily digested making it a great source of nutrition.
