·  Improved Digestibility for Maximum Milk Production

·  Fast recovery with Excellent Persistence

New for 2011!

New for 2011! 4030 Alfalfa offers improved digestibility along with yield, yield and more yield to produce tons of milk per acre. In addition, it has fast recovery and superior persistence to make it one of the most profitable alfalfas available today. Proving its capability, 4030 has the top alfalfa yields in the 2010 Cornell Forage Trials in Ithaca,NY (2008 Seeding), and is leading the seeding year data in the 2010 plantings in Central and Western New York.

4030 Alfalfa offers a Fall Dormancy of 4 with a Winter Survival rating of 1.6 and perfect 30/30 disease resistant rating to make it widely adapted to all areas of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. In addition to the high resistance to all six major alfalfa diseases, it possesses resistance to Race 2 Aphanomyces Root Rot, a second strain of the seedling disease being found in a growing number of alfalfa producing states. Aphanomyces Root Rot can cause seedling death, but more often results in stunted, chlorotic (yellow) plants with decreased yields. As with most diseases in alfalfa, the only defense is to plant resistant varieties. 4030's strong disease resistance and agronomic package along with improved feed quality in its DNA make it the perfect alfalfa to build a forage program around.

To ensure 4030 Alfalfa gets off to a great start the seed is coated with Ultracoattm, a phosphate based 34% coating that helps improve early seedlings development and protects the inoculant and fungicide treatments.
